Evaluations & Recommendations

Design & Functionality Assessment

Our interactive design team will review your work, or work in progress, regardless of the stage of development it's in. We apply our vast experience and expertise in building successful web applications to every aspect of your project and provide feedback and findings that can be put to work immediately.

Each application and company is different and has unique needs. We begin with an in-depth interview with key players from your organization so that we understand your priorities and needs. We then review the existing presence or the enhancements that you're developing and determine if the current site accurately hits the target audience and meets operational needs. With direction from this understanding, we determine if presentation and functionality of the site or application works, comparing it to the best practices of the industry, noting where it diverges, and how. This process and the resulting information provides the basis for recommendations, which optimize the site and users’ experiences.

The findings are presented in a comprehensive report and presentation that is combined with a frank conversation with our analysts about our recommendations, ideas and interpretations.

What's Involved:

  • Conducting interviews and collection of information for business understanding
  • Research of industry and competition
  • Review existing functional needs and compare to unrealized opportunities
  • Technology and architecture review
  • Develop recommendations for changes with documentation

Estimated Engagement Length - 1 to 2 weeks

Usability Testing

Usability testing is the fastest and most efficient way to determine problems that can arise from poor design or functionality. These problems can inhibit site or application usage for end users. Structured interviews and observations are focused on application features and design from an interface prototype or the functional navigation. During the process a series of key tasks are performed by users of your member audience. Detailed observations and notes are compiled during this process to create a list of functionality problems.

Many organizations perform this testing at the completion of the development cycle, where it is least effective. This testing should be implemented throughout the application development cycle to ensure usability of design, functionality and administration. Usability tests will confirm the strength of your design functionality and will prevent usage problems down the road.
