I always thought that Facebook was a neighborhood, a blog (whatever engine you personally like) was an apartment and Twitter was the bar where outrageous things were said.
As Twitter has gain popularity, it has gone through a few changes. Recently, Twitter just decided to create embeddable tweets. These tweets will work in the same fashion as embedding video links from YouTube or Vimeo. I personally believe that this is kind of cool. I can’t wait to embed some of the things my friends say in my personal blog.
I believe that this new feature was developed because of the increase of blogging activities and the high amounts of embedded materials that are found on the Facebook walls of millions of users.
But, I wonder… Will brands use this embedding ability as consumer reviews and post them in their site with or without permission? Will your tweets become the next generation of product reviews ?(Consumer Report 2.0 –“words from the tweets?”). Only time will tell, but if you are curious read the article here.
