What drives people to social media platforms? That’s a no-brainer, we want to connect and share something meaningful. We do it because we want to engage with others by sharing something personal; thus, a dialogue ignites. And, eventually, everyone is buzzing.
When our client, Becoming Mom, a company that offers 4-D ultrasound and Prenatal and Postpartum Spa services, reached out to us to wanting a plan to increase their Facebook presence, we knew just how to seal the deal. Let’s be real, new parents love sharing photos of their offspring (Have you ever been cornered by one in a break room?) Not to mention, expectant parents LOVE to connect and share their experiences with others (We know because some of us here at Signal have been THOSE people). Playing off of Becoming Mom’s offerings, we created a multi-faceted strategy that we were confident would not only increase their “Likes,” but overall visibility on Facebook too. Guess what? People “liked” it.

In the first week alone Becoming Mom’s Facebook page acquired 40 new “Likes.” This was HUGE because it took the company over a year just to collect their first 200 “likes.” "How?" You may be asking yourself. Simple. We did some custom Facebook development. We enabled an “Image Access,” tab where clients’ 3-D ultrasound images from Becoming Mom uploaded and displayed. Then we made this image content only available to Facebook users that “Like” the Becoming Mom page.
Once users “Like” the page, they can search clients by their first and last name and ultrasound date. They can then view and post the images to their stream, prompting others to view the images. Once other users click on the link, they too must “Like” Becoming Mom in order to see the images.
Within the first month and a half, the page has seen a 293% increase in “Likes,” and is growing. The company is so thrilled with the outcomes that they are planning on packaging it and offering it to its network affiliates. We couldn’t agree more.
